Raptor Adhesion Promoter
Does exactly what is says on the tin, essentially this is a tin of primer that'll eat it's way into any substrate, ideal for traditionally difficult surfaces such as aluminium. Then, even better, it saves you having to sand and add manual adhesion to the area, if you've got an area that is difficult to access, or you're just looking to save time, this is the product for you. Plus, it adds and additional layer of Raptor protection, that can't be a bad thing, right?
We'd like to make clear that UPOL Raptor doesn't necessarily require use the of the Adhesion promoter, but some surfaces will require it. When applying Raptor to aluminium and plastics, we'd recommend it. Raptor can be used on most plastic without much preparation. Scuff the plastic with 180 - 240 grit sand paper or red scotch and then apply the adhesion promoter. Wait about 20 minutes for it to dry before applying Raptor. Sorted.
What does UPOL tell us about it?
Promotes paint adhesion to most automotive surfaces, like plastics, aluminium, galvanized metal, zinc, painted surfaces, fibreglass and even bodyfillers. Replaces the need to abrade surfaces in hard-to-sand areas, like under hoods and deck lids.
- Excellent adhesion characteristics
- Sprays flat
- Can be topcoated with most water or solvent based paint systems
- Provides a protective barrier against lifting or solvent attack
