How do you mix Evercoat Metal Glaze?

Here are the instructions for mixing Evercoat Metal Glaze Optex:

  1. Dissolve Metal Glaze in 2-3 oz of Everclear or heat clean 95% alcohol to 150° F in a glass container.
  2. Stir until the product is completely dissolved (This usually requires at least 20 minutes).
  3. Remove any bubbles that may form by tapping vigorously on the side of the glass.
  4. Apply with soft bristle brush, lint-free cloth or air brush without thinning. Some people use denatured alcohol for application however this does not offer you much money saving advantages since it is more expensive than Everclear or heat clean 95% alcohol which are commonly used for this purpose.

Metal Glaze Optex as a body filler can be applied directly over all types of surfaces where rust has occurred including bare metal surfaces, corrosion undercoating, plastic or vinyl coatings. Metal Glaze can be applied to clean rusted surfaces with a brush, airbrush, spray gun, trigger bottle or roller if desired for larger areas.

Always test prior to beginning any project in an inconspicuous area in order to verify compatibility with the substrate and acceptable application results.
